Cookie surprised me with a weekend getaway ... the Verde Canyon Railroad, from Clarkdale to Perkinsville. It started off raining, not the way we wanted the day to go, but, fortunately it was over quick.

This was the twilight ride, so with the rain we also had clouds, not great for viewing the stars. But, once again, we were blessed and when we get to the turnaround point (after dusk) the clouds cleared out and we had stars all the way back to Clarkdale.
Verde Canyon Railroad
We highly recommend the Verde Canyon Railroad, we really enjoyed the trip, and plan to go back again.
