Groom Creek trail to the top of Spruce Mountain. It started out as a beautiful day for a hike ... cool, sunny and a few scattered puffy white clouds. This is a loop hike and we took it counter clock wise 5.5 miles to the top, and 3.5 miles back to the trailhead.

The trail was great, near the top we got hit with pea sized hail and it rained for about three miles. However, it was a great hike, we'll make this one of our regular hikes.
