Basic Computer Protection

Here are the 3 basic (free) applications that I recommend that you should use to keep your computer system safe, or at least as safe as you can get it.

1. Anti-Virus. AVG Anti-Virus.
2. Anti-Spyware. Spybot Search and Destroy.
3. Anti-Adware. Lavasoft Ad-Aware.

Each of these products is free, my favorite price. But, as importantly, each of these products ranks #1 in many polls as the best product in their own respective category. To me, free plus best equal the way to go.

Each of these products however won't keep you safe unless you learn how to use them and keep them updated. Take the time to learn how to use these products, but more importantly keep them UPDATED at least monthly.
